MitchParticipant
Please consider this an Enhancement Request for this feature. Here’s my wish list:
- Be able to select multiple destination databases, spread across 1 or more servers
- Initiate copy to all selected databases at once
- Results of copy in a summary list or table, with ability to drill down to detailed results per database if desired
- Ability to store the source database/tables and the destinations as a job and retrieve that job and re-execute later
MitchParticipantSo how do we diagnose this? It is happening almost every day.
MitchParticipantThis is still a problem. Happens occasionally when doing a table Alter. I’ve noticed that when this happens, SQLyog will hang when I try to close it later, rather than closing cleanly.
MitchParticipantSorry, trying again to attach the dump.
October 14, 2015 at 3:39 pm in reply to: Copy Table Between Multiple Connections | Pre-select Remote Db If Targ #35510MitchParticipantI’ve asked for this once before. I use the database feature a lot and have to constantly select the correct database name on a remote server. This would save me time, and some mistakes too!
October 14, 2015 at 2:01 pm in reply to: Copy And Paste Single Row Between Different Tables With Same Structure #35504MitchParticipantThis would be a very useful feature! Perhaps it could be implemented so that the copy feature from the grid output of a query would generate the insert SQL and place it on the clipboard. I suggest that for tables with an auto-increment key, that we have the option of whether or not to include the primary key in the generated SQL.
MitchParticipantI cannot reproduce at will, but it is still happening occsaionally. I’ve noticed that it seems to happen more when I type rapidly in the filter box. I don’t remember it happening when I type slowly. The next time it happens I’ll collect some data and try to reproduce it.
MitchParticipantThis turned out to be a wine problem. See http://askubuntu.com/questions/653732/wine-segfault-on-ubuntu-14-04
MitchParticipantThat helps, thank you.
Seems like it would be a good idea to automatically restore the saved session, or at least prompt the user if it should be restored or not.
May 6, 2015 at 2:29 pm in reply to: Feature Request: Intelligent Defaults For Database Copy Dialog #35026MitchParticipantI also (still) think this is a good idea. I really like SQLyog and use it frequently. This little issue is my single biggest annoyance when using it.
MitchParticipantYes, it happens every time for me.
MitchParticipant+1 for auto refresh
MitchParticipantYES! Great idea.
MitchParticipantI agree and understand that in the User Manager, the SSL settings would apply to the user, not to the connection. Those would still be specified on the SSL tab of the connection dialog.
October 17, 2014 at 4:24 pm in reply to: Feature Request: One-click-favorite-query-execute Buttons #35073MitchParticipantGreat idea! Perhaps tie it to the existing Favorites list so that they could be executed with a toolbar button and/or key combination.
Bonus would be the ability to have a favorite execute on all currently connected servers.
