    Hi Kevin,

We tried the same case using SQLyog Ultimate v8.2 but the issue was not reproducible. Can you please try to do the following?

Once you come to How do you want to generate the window? screen please click on the browse button that you see there.(shown in the screen shot file_selection.png)

This opens up another window where you can select the location where you want the file to be created. After selecting the location, specify the file name in the space provided.(shown in screen shot Specifying_File_Name)

The extension of the file needs to be .SQL itself as specified in the drop down next to the file name.

Could you please try a different location and check if it is working fine for you?

If you still face issues then please report to us.

    Thank you,

    Aparna.

    Hi Ben,

We currently do not have any option to truncate the tables before importing the data to MySQL. We have added your request in our issue tracker: http://code.google.com/p/sqlyog/issues/detail?id=1598.

We will consider this based on the priority assigned to it. Thank you for using SQLyog.

    Regards,

Do you still have problems while importing data from oracle? If yes then please let us know the issue and we will be glad to assist you.

    Hi Rich,

    Quote:
One thing that I didn't mention is that I'm getting the site ID from an Excel spreadsheet, so I'm copying and pasting from a single spreadsheet cell into the SQLyog field. So, Excel may be the source of the r.

You are right. Excel is the source of r. When you copy paste a single cell value, r gets appended to the data. As a work around for this you can copy only the data with in the cell (instead of copying the entire cell) in order to avoid the r getting appended.

    Quote:
If SQLyog was able to display the r character and allow me to edit/remove it, it would save a LOT of time going back in and manually editing the fields via the mysql cli.

Unlike a text/blob field which has multi line edit control, Varchar has a single line edit control because of which characters like r,n(non printable characters) are not visible.

The download link for the latest Beta is: http://code.google.com/p/sqlyog/downloads/list

You are definitely welcome to upgrade to the latest version but you will still see the same behavior in the latest version also.

    Thanks and Regards,

    Aparna.

    Hi Avinash,

From the jobfile and the table structure that you have provided I can understand that you have defined unique index on many columns where as you are trying to import just a single column from that index group. In this case for SQLyog to import the data successfully you either have to select all columns or uncheck the option that reads import index from the advanced tab.

    Aparna.

    Hi Rich,

We are unable to reproduce this issue at our end. Could you please provide us the structure of your table and some sample data to reproduce this at our end. Also could you upgrade to the latest 8.8 Beta1 community and check if the same issue is occurring?

    Thanks and Regards,

    Aparna.

've tried this, and right-clicking the line does not ever bring up this context menu. It only brings up the “add tables/views // load query design” menu.

This is a bug and this will be fixed in an upcoming version. Thank you for reporting this issue to us and for using SQLyog.

    Hi Avinash,

In order to identify the exact issue we require the following information:

    1. The version of ORACLE you are using.

    2. The schema of the table that you are trying to import.

    3. Please attach your import job file here(If you do not have one created then you can crate it during the import process by selecting the saving option->save job file and finally specifying the path and the file name where you want to store the job file).

    Aparna.

    Hi,

The issue that you have reported is reproducible in 8.71 version. This issue was introduced because of the changes made to improve vertical scrolling in GRID while displaying large number of rows. This has already been fixed internally and will be available in the next public release.

Thank you for reporting this issue.
