Am starting to apply these tips. Answer to question above I can use regedit to repoint APPDATA back to my own PC in the registry, however this is unfortunately periodically reset by Windows server. I think I need to do a complete uninstall of SQLYOG then reinstall etc
First thing I realise is that changing APPDATA in regedit DOESNT change the setting which I guess is loaded into memory e.g echo $APPDATA still shows the old value, if I restart APPDATA is reset back to it’s remote location … So in fact SQLYog always takes the remote location for APPDATA whenever I reinstall.
So my sqlyog.ini , sqlyog.err etc are remotely located
zzapperMemberPeter,
A Checkbox by each Table? With a Button at the top hide/display selected tables.
Or a nice drag tables to a top pane above list of tables.

My pleasure; Sqlyog is a great tool!
zzapperMember'peterlaursen' wrote:You don't have to *guess* it is autocomplete! Can you try turning it off temporarily from tool .. preferences .. power tools? In particular the option to “show suggestions as you type..”.
yep it goes away if i disable autocomplete. Will see if it is anything todo with Mcafee which autoinstalled when I upgraded Adobe. — red herring.
Problem was 'show suggestion as you type” which I don't need
zzapperMember'peterlaursen' wrote:No .. it is not possible currently.
We have this request already: http://code.google.com/p/sqlyog/issues/detail?id=1119
Peter that would be wonderful but I note the request dates from 2009

(I am trying this from SQLYog). I don't know too much about Blobs.
Just enabling email replies

Peter,
What information is the progress bar actually supplying? Does it flash across 4 each table being rebulit?
Why cant you see what the actual progress is?

zzapperMemberpeterlaursen wrote on May 17 2006, 08:04 PM:And if I understand you right script just start ovr and over again??That sounds strange …
Can you create some small script that does this and zip and attach it here?
RED FACE!!!
It's just that it was running so slowly, where I thought it was looping, it was just where the progress bar flashing across.Sorry Peter, delete this thread if you think it might confuse!!

I've temporarily solved the problem, I pasted the 28,000 line sql file into YOG edit window! and clicked execute all queries

I have been looking all over Denmark but did not find it here! 😀I don't understand you question! Could you explain somewhat more in detail, or maybe provide a screenshot that illustrates this?
It is not the 'Truncate Column Headers …' option in 'tools .. preferences' that you are looking for?
Personally I would would like too more user configurations/settings for the data display (it makes a BIG difference if you are working on a 800*600 or a 2000*1600 screen!). With the embedded database that will be introduced with SQLyog 5.1 that also should be possible! But not high-priority right now!

I just had a day when I could not see for looking yes
“Truncate Column Headers To Maximum Data Size” was the baby I was looking for.
I would like to see this option as a toggle in the display panel
Cheers to all Yoggers!

zzapperMemberRitesh,
I've solved the problem by temporarily deleting the timestamp in both databases. I guess I could also change the column type to say char, do my sync and then change back ????!!!???.
Any other tricks??
zzapperMemberHi,
You probably know you can re-order connections in sqlyog.ini by playing with the number of the connection
