This is a connection error and not an authentication error (ie. not password etc. problem). First of all check for firewall setings on the server and the client machine.

I suggest you read the help file (help..help menu) ..'getting started' paragraph.

Can you please execute Execute “SHOW CREATE TABLE tablename” for both source and target tables.

Also, can you tell us:

Which version of SQLyog you are using(Help->About).

Which MySQL server you are using(SELECT VERSION()).

You can save and scheudle the job for Database synchronization

Go to SQLyog ‘Powertools’ menu or from command line. Refer: http://webyog.com/faq/content/27/114/en/introduction-to-the-_sqlyog-job-agent_-sja.html

To schedule the SJA file you need to choose “schedule” on the last screen of the powertool wizard(See attached images).

Now the 'SJA scheduled task file' will have the argument to execute the SJA job file.

You can manually execute the scheduled job file from SQLyog Powertools->Scheduled jobs(See attached images).

First you should check for firewall issues and settings in server configurations like 'skip_networking' and 'bind_address'.

If you want to execute and edit resultset, we have an option to do this for a single query-Execute and Edit Resultset(F8). But if multiple queries are selected it doesn't change to Edit mode. We already have this issue here in our issue tracker: http://code.google.com/p/sqlyog/issues/detail?id=1684 We will schedule this according to our priority.

CTRL and space is for Autocomplete. You can enable the option from Tools->Preference->PowerTools Tab. This tab is for configuring and enabling/disabling the Autocomplete feature.
