We do have “What is MONyog?” & “What is SQLyog?” on the top of the home page. There are links to whitepaper and screenshots right below.
We will appreciate if you can elaborate more on what were you expecting, and what sections of the website were confusing?
RohitMemberAre you able to get SQL grouped by count?
RohitMemberHow long did you wait before giving up on the big file? Are you sure that it was hanging and not taking the usual time to transfer 100MB over SFTP?
RohitMemberMONyog Log Analyzer is designed to work with very large files, so I am surprised to see that file size was the problem.
Did you try with a new (smaller) file or you changed the MONyog parameters to parse just 100MB of a bigger file?
How are you accessing the remote file? Are you accessing the file over SSH/SFTP?

The delay is there when right-clicking to bring up the export dialog every time (we don't 'reuse' the export dialog once it's created, generally). What will my upgrade/license path be for upgrading 656 Enterprise to a working ? when it's built?
And do I get a T-shirt?!:)
Dan,
How about extending your free upgrade period by one year?
Thanks once again for your help. We appreciate it!

How was your experience with syncing 5 million rows? We are curious to know the results.
One of major pillars of SQLyog 7 is 2-8 times increase in Data Sync speed.
RohitMemberYou should try SQLyog 7.0. That version introduces major improvements in data sync speeds. Some benchmarking data is available at: http://www.webyog.com/blog/2008/06/21/sqly…nization-speed/
RohitMemberVery valid points!
We will discuss internally and let you know how/what are we going to implement.

RohitMemberHow do you connect to MySQL from SQLyog? Direct/SSH Tunnel/HTTP Tunnel?
RohitMemberFor auto-refresh Processlist and related options please check:
RohitMemberAlternate deployment option to address your Question No. 1:
You can install MONyog on your dedicated MySQL server. In that case MONyog connects locally to MySQL and you then access MONyog using normal HTTP (Port 80).
RohitMemberWe don't provide consultancy, but I am a huge fan of Peter Zaitsev's MySQL Performance Blog (www.mysqlperformanceblog.com). Peter's company does provide MySQL performance consultancy.
RohitMember“MySQL has a great feature – slow query log, which allows you to log all queries which took more than a specified amount of time to execute.
The slow query log can be used to identify queries that take long time to complete. Enabling the slow query log is highly recommended as it allows you to record unoptimized queries.
Enable the slow query log. Refer to http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.0/en/slow-query-log.html for more information on the slow query log.”
The above advice is available in MONyog for enabling the Slow Query Log. We would also modify the advice for “Percentage of Full Table Scans” to include this information.
MONyog 2.0 will be able to read the log files and will generate various reports to help quickly identify the problem SQL. MONyog 2.0 BETA is 6-8 weeks away.
