navyashree.rMemberHi,
You simply copy the sqlyog.ini file to new installations. All program settings and stored connections are saved here.
The sqlyog.ini file is in user's 'AppData' folder (what is a hidden folder, so unhide hidden folders from Control Panel… Folder options).
Paths to sqlyog.ini,
Windows 2K/XP/2003: Documents and SettingsUserApplication dataSQLyog
Windows Vista/2008/7: UsersUserAppDataRoamingSQLyog

navyashree.rMemberHi,
We tried your case with VARCHAR datatype. Dates are exporting successfully without converting into question marks. “SQLyog is now fully UNICODE-compliant”. This is from SQLyog 6.0 version.
Could you please attach the dump so that we can try at our end?

navyashree.rMemberHi,
Currently we are on progressing to improve this “reconnect” functions in SQLyog.
With SSH there are many reasons this latency can occur. The ssh connection happens through ssh client plink. The reconnect happens mainly for 2 reasons,
1. If any network issue happens between ssh server, again this plink neeed to re-initialize.
2. Because of less wait_timeout.
We will look into this and you could expect noticeable improvements in 8.13 Beta2.
BTW…
* Could you please tell us whether SQLyog & SSH are in same machine?
* What is the MySQL version?
* Also please tell the o/p of show variables like '%timeout'?

navyashree.rMemberQuote:1)ok .. Let us discuss request for 'sticky log position'. The logfile and sessionfile settings are not saved in jobfile. That would be one option. Another option would be to save in sqlyog.ini so that same setting as last time you executed a wizard will take effect if not changed by user (I thought it did now, but I will check). I do not quite understand if you request first or second?
Hi,
Presently, whether its a new job or saved job it takes the default path 'Application Data' folder path.
The request “Saving 'SJA Log' Location in Preferences” already in our tracker,

Thank You.
