I had messaged you with info on 5.01 BETA. Did the BETA fix the problem?

[post=”7985″]<{POST_SNAPBACK}>[/post]This is strange. Even gdiplus.dll is copied. I thought it will be an issue with gdiplus.dll not getting copied correctly. I think I will have to take a look into it from a different angle.
RiteshMemberQuote:But I was specificaly talking about here the “Copy this database to a different host” functionality where the application can tell where it's copying from and where to.SQLyog checks for the target MySQL version and generates the CREATE TABLE queries accordingly. If you this option, then you should *not* have any problem.
RiteshMemberAaah…I thought you are using DB -> Copy DB to different Host/DB option. SQLyog supports MySQL versions using that option.
@Peterlaursen: Its SQLyog which creates the .sql file. Its just that SQLyog first queries MySQL to get the info and simply writes it down to the file on disk.RiteshMemberPlease upgrade to 5.0. This issue has already been fixed in 5.0.
RiteshMemberVery strange.
We were able to reproduce it using different steps but I think fixing it will solve the above problems too.
RiteshMemberAs I asked in another thread, can you post a screenshot of your SQLyog installation folder?
I would like to know the files that get copied while installation.
RiteshMemberGreat 😀
RiteshMemberThis is very strange. We test SQLyog on Win98 and Win2K and it works perfectly.
Can you attach a screenshot of your SQLyog installation folder?
RiteshMemberAdded in the To-DO list 😀
RiteshMemberQuote:And I totally disagree that version number should not change. Even if ONE SINGLE BIT changes the version number should change! it could be like 5.0a and 5.0b then. That would be OK. I remeber once Ritesh posted a new version. There was a problem with the installer script. He fixed it and posted the fix with same version number a few hours later. That froze our relationship for a week .But I am serious about this. ANY version should be uniquely identified. If someone experiences problems with version x.y and another one does not, you MUST know that there is only ONE version x.y. If not support would be impossible.True!
We are thinking of an auto-update option and its in our TO-DO list but we have other important features to implement before we start coding for the auto-update option.
RiteshMemberHmmm…very strange!
I have forwarded the issue to my development team. This issue will be taken care first thing tomorrow morning.
RiteshMemberEven I would like to get to the bottom of this problem. Whatever the character might be, it should be correctly escaped!
RiteshMemberI think this is an issue with Win2K.
RiteshMemberWhich version of SQLyog are you using?
