Are your able to connect to this server using other tools.

Please download an old version of SQLyog i.e. SQLyog 3.64 from http://www.webyog.com/sqlyog/SQLyog364.com. Install it in a different dirctory and try to connect.

SQLyog 3.7 is compiled with the latest client library provided with MySQL 4.1.1. This may be the reason of the problem.

Can you tell me your MySQL server version?

You can probably increase the wait_timeout value for the server. More information on Server System Variables can be found at http://dev.mysql.com/doc/mysql/en/Server_s…_variables.html.

Later version's of SQLyog will have an option where it will ping the MySQL server at regular intervals so that the connection is not timed out.

Hello Androidtech,

Can you send us your sqlyog.ini found in the installation directory of SQLyog?

I believe some awkward values gets set in the .ini file that SQLyog is unable to handle. Knowing the value will be very helpful.

It does remember the last settings. Can you send me your sqlyog.ini found in the installation directory of SQLyog?

If you are still having the error then steps to reproduce the error will be very helpful.

You can filter data returned from a query by right-clicking on the Result Window and selecting Quick Filter from the popup menu.

The latest version of SQLyog uses SJA 2.0. I will suggest that you first upgrade to SQLyog 3.7 and try out the sync process.

Right now its not possible. But we plan to come out with SJA for *BSD soon 🙂
