if you have databases with a lot of tables you hav to click on every table, open the INFO tab, scroll down and check

if the table type has to be changed you must click right on the table in the tree view to open the context menu then on “More table operations” then on “Change table type to” an you are there

that is difficult an time consuming

great goodness, I found out who is the bad guy.

the notebook has a finger print reader

Acer delivers a “ACER Bio protection software”

the “ACER Bio protection software” grants access on startup and login into the system

furthermore there is a “password bank”

probably the “password bank” associates application passwords with the registered fingerprint

with taskmanager or the Sysinternals process explore I could see 0% to 25% of CPU usage in waves for some seconds.

the two processes involved where SQLyog and PwdBank

with a deactivated “password bank” SQLyog behaves as I was used to it.

no freezing, no blue border, no vanishing password dots

thanks to all who tried to find a solution to the problem

    Hello,

    Thanks for your effort.

You mean still its freezing? (There was no change in connection dialog with 8.16, As I told there's some changes done for solving some OS compatibility issues)

The reason to 'ask you to delete connection details' may be you have pressed character 'D'. Please confirm you got 'D' character in your password? While typing password have you pressed Alt+D, or tab? Or when pressing 'D' the focus was there inside password edit box?

Why it happened is 'D' is keyboard shortcut assigned for 'Delete' button. Press 'Alt' and you could see an underscore(_) just below D of Delete button(_Delete), Its window's standard.

Yes you are correct its ntdll.dll

    still frezzing in 8.16

I have a 'D' in my passpord (but it freezes after 2 seconds by its own also, or moving the mouse into connect dialog)

It really looks like an issue with your keyboard (hardware/driver).

    1) Do you have an option to try another keyboard?

    2) Can you remove the driver and restart Windows. The driver will be reinstalled.

    3) Is you keyboard a 'plain' Windows keyboard or something special using a special driver?

well, it is a Acer TravelMate6593 notebook with a “standard notebook keybook” (if one exists)

do you want me to open the notebook for you, to start a remote session (I would suggest TeamViewer)

    Also please tell,

Have you experienced this freezing issue with any application other than SQLyog?

    Regards

    Nithin

    only with SQLyog

Hi, I tried 8.16 with no significant changes in the connect dialog (attached image)

I believe it must have something to do with the password

typing in the password field leads to “Do you really want to delete the connection detail?” (attached image)

It seems to me that event handling is out of control.

there is no nt.dll on my system only ntdll.dll (attached image)

(is there a way to be informed on replies by email, your post is 7 days old and I didn't checked the topic)

I do not have a SSH Tunnel to my local system on remote server it is default port 22

I would like to attach a picture for infrastructure, but fails for jpg, gif, png

    furthermore:

when I am connected with sqlyog to the remote server,

fabforce dbdesigner fails to connect to the local mysql server as well
