I looked at all the libmysql.dll files i have, and i do have a lot, however i don't have winmysql and libmysql isn't even registered in my system. Each application just pull is it out of its directory. What I do have installed is the Mysql Driver/ODBC connector but I have the latest version.
Why doesn't the SQLyog installer attempt to register the DLL or does it?
I still have no luck, and doesn't work. Laptop works fine with latest version, and i do have the odbc connector on the laptop as well.
devaholikMemberRitesh,
I am using mySQL version 4.0.16-standard. I have tried connection to other mysql servers and still no go, let me know if i should try a mysql server i can connect to that you know it works with.
Also that SQLyog folder, i honestly don't know how it got there, there is nothing in it.
Let me know, Thanks.
UPDATE
I have tried this on six different mysql servers and it crashes everytime. 😮 It is something with a dll and my computer, i am sure. My laptop runs the beta version just fine and does not crash, using the same database. what should i do? 😮
devaholikMemberRitesh,
It is very strange, and i thought that with every beta release it would be fixed but never did!

devaholikMemberQuote:Where did he take the '[email protected]' data to connect to the remote server ? How can I change this ?username is what you provided sqlyog as the login name, and the mail.oneofmydomain.com is your hostname that is automaticly added by default to connecto to a mysql table. Make sure mysql has given grant access to *@mail.oneofmydomain.com or *@*
hope that helps 😀
