MemberOk it seems we didn't misunderstand each other anyway.
The tickets was created and the solution was to change the smtp server (or host) to another one. The one I was told to use (and have used for other applications ?!?!) didn't work with SQLyog. But changing it to the smtp server of on of the leading ISP's in Denmark solved the problem.
Thanks for you help.

MemberNow I am puzzled…
I clicked on your link to create a ticket. I created a ticket in which I described my problem and gave login info for the temp email account I also created. Isn't that what you wanted me to do?
What do you mean by 'there is an additional question for you in the ticket system!' ?

MemberI dont have access to the SMTP server myself, so now I have created a temporary account and a support ticket describing this problem.
I will return with their reply…

MemberI am sure the SMTP server does not require authentication. I have it for other things than this…
But still i just tried your suggestion. I checked the checkbox and applied account name and password for the 'from email'. This time another error pops up: 'Error while sending test mail. SMTP Username and Password dont match'. I am sure I wrote the correct account name and password (just tested in on my webmail).
The version of SQLyog Enterprise is v.5.02
