      Hi,

I have a test file with the only content being German umlauts “äöü”. The file format is ASCII. When I drag&drop that file into an SQLyog editor tab, the content is displayed as one Japanese character and one block-character.

I have to convert the file to UTF-8 for the umlauts to be displayed correctly.

Is it possible, that SQLyog recognizes the file format automatically so that umlauts are display properly?

      Lars

What if you open from “file .. open” menu?

Also reproducible with this file [attachment=1412:æøå.txt]

File menu and drag'n'drop is same problem.  Looks like we destroyed something when we were adding support for drag'n'drop.
