We are migrating an existing MONyog installation from HostA:

      Linux 2.6.26.6-79.fc9.i686 #1 SMP Fri Oct 17 14:52:14 EDT 2008 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux

      To HostB:

      Linux 2.6.18-194.el5 #1 SMP Tue Mar 16 21:52:43 EDT 2010 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux

      This process has gone fine.

      Our migration steps were:

1> Copy all files except data from HostA to HostB.

2> Untar the latest stable build overtop of the directory. (MONyog-3.7.6-0.glibc-2.5-42.i386.tar.gz)

      3> Verify Ownership/permissions

      4> Change the MONYOG.ini settings to port=80

      5> Start Monyog

When we do this monyog overwrites the ini and starts on the default port 5555.

There are firewall rules in place that prevent access on port 5555.

How do we get the MONyog server running on port 80?

      Thanks,

      Shawn

      Hey Shawn,

For security reasons, you shouldn't be modifying the INI file directly. Instead use MONyog's interface. Once MONyog has started, from the local machine where MONyog is running access MONyog's interface (you can open port 5555 temporarily to do this). Then navigate to 'Tools' –> 'Preferences' –> 'Change Port' to change the default port to whatever suits you.
