I have been using SQLYog version 6.12 for some time and it does every thing I need very well. I use the scheduled backup on a daily basis to backup a DB on a hosting site, first on XP, then 8.1 and now win 10. Since the last update of 10, the backup has failed with the error “ERROR: 2003, Can’t connect to MySQL server on ‘localhost’ (10061) Error in connection”.
When setting up the job and I get to the screen just after the email settings, I can click “Run Immediately” and the backup works OK.
Looking at the XML file generated, the IP address, username and password are correct.
Also please try to temporarily disable the firewall on the machine where it does not work in order to see if it is a local firewall issue. And also double-check the spelling of the hostname and the port.
