I'm using 3.73 on Windows Server 2000, combination of 5.1.23 and 5.1.41 servers. Unfortunately, we're having some communication issues between the Windows Server and the MySQL servers. The result is that the MONyog service apparently locks up – I can't navigate throught the screens either on the server or remotely, and I have to reboot the server because I cannot restart the MONyog service. Where can I look to help diagnose this problem?

      Hi Paul,

We are looking into this problem and will keep you updated on the progress. Could you also post the contents of MONyog's log (at the time when you were experiencing this problem) here? You can find the log in MONyog's installation directory (a file named MONyog.log).

In the meantime, you should have a look at this article: http://www.watchingthenet.com/how-to-kill-windows-processes-that-wont-die-or-terminat.html

It explains how to kill Windows processes that don't die easily.

      Hi Paul,

Thanks for reporting this issue. It's confirmed.

      Steps we followed here:

      1. MySQL servers are running remotely and MONyog in Windows 2000 Professional.

      2. Now disable the remote network.

      3. MONyog hangs.

We are looking into this issue and will update the status.

      Regards,

      Sandhya

Today I installed MONyog 3.74 – so far no issues – but to continue the diagnosis:

      1. browser is IE6/8 (depending on which machine I'm using to watch the processlists)

      2. I'm not sure what causes it so I haven't tried to reproduce it – it has happened two or three times

      1. remote servers are CentOS 5.4 running MySQL 5.1.23 or 5.1.41

      2. SSH tunnelling – VPN connection over the Internet

      3. I am using SSH connection for collecting metrics

      4. Linux db3.towxchange.net 2.6.18-164.11.1.el5xen #1 SMP

      Wed Jan 20 08:06:04 EST 2010 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

      CentOS release 5.4 (Final)

      Kernel r on an m

I also searched my server for MONYOG.log and could not find it.

Let me know if I can help more.

      Paul

      Hi,

We observed with latest MONyog version too that Internet Explorer is hanging while loading MONyog login page.

      Environment:IE6(6.0.2800) on Windows 2000 professional.

We are looking into this issue.

Can you confirm same behaviour you have observed with v3.73?

Also does MONyog interface works fine with other browser like IE 7/8 or Firefox?
