Neat.
Well I have Beta 7 debug installed.
I switch over to SQLyog crashed and an error box appears, but Backbox didn't come up.
Anyway I did have about 5000 records sitting in the result pane at the time if that helps.
I didn't get a screenshot, but it wasn't really a meaningful error message.
TGKnIghtMemberOk I installed beta 7, looks like permissions are showing correctly, I will report back if there are any other issues with managing permissions here.
TGKnIghtMemberDownloading and installing the debug build now…
Don't forget this bug seems to take a couple days to appear sometimes (at least for me )
TGKnIghtMemberQuote:1) Are you using dual monitor configuration?Yes
Quote:2) What is your screen resolution?1440×900 32 bit
Quote:3) Is your “Display Properties”->”Appearance”->Font Size property set to “Large” or “Extra Large”?It is set to “Normal”
I am also running an AMD64x2 (dual core)
Thanks for the debug link I will just installed it and hopefully will catch another debug log for you guys.
TGKnIghtMemberRunning SQLyog Enterprise 5.2 Beta 6 (not debug version, where can I get the debug version of Beta 6?)
This problem happened again just now… I was actively working in SQLyog… Switched to FireFox to look something up.. Clicked on the taskbar to bring SQLyog back up and SQLyog closed itself at that point.
TGKnIghtMemberWhile SQLyog no longer crashes when Managing Permissions (ie I can see the user list, select the different users etc) existing permissions do not show up in their respective schemata..
ie. I have a user 'bookstore' which has SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE permissions for the schemata 'bookstore' (This is already set up via the command line and works via web application). I go to look up the bookstore user in Manage Permissions… and no permissions are checked off at all..
So it's nice it doesn't crash, but I'm still stuck with using the command line or MySQL Administrator for this function.
TGKnIghtMemberLooks like this issue is resolved with Beta 6 on my end. I will report back if it occurs again.
TGKnIghtMemberAh finally got a debug log of this problem! SQLyog had been running all morning on my desktop.. I was using it intermittently for some random queries all day… Then just now I was setting up another query, I ALT-TAB to my IDE window and SQLyog crashed.
This is on Enterprise 5.2 Beta 5 Debug
TGKnIghtMemberOk here is the debug log after updating to this latest version
TGKnIghtMemberNow the debugger doesn't catch the error anymore, but the standard error message does come up at least.
TGKnIghtMemberExcellent, I will try to capture a debug log of the other crashing problem I am experiencing as well.
Here are the results from the problem when trying to manage permissions.
Please note that I am on an AMD64X2.. Not an Intel Dual Core as the log states… I am running WinXP SP2 with all the latest patches.
TGKnIghtMemberMySQL 5.0.18-nt-max
This occurs about 90% of the time when you choose a different user from the one that came up by default.
TGKnIghtMemberThanks for hijacking the thread… I am still waiting to see if the original problem occurs with 5.2 Beta 5. So far *crosses fingers* it hasn't.
TGKnIghtMemberHi I have the same issue, it seems to be if you leave the program running for a long time that the window will close. (e.g after a few hours)
September 28, 2006 at 6:55 pm in reply to: Sqlyog Enterprise Randomly Closes Itself Without Warning………….. #22483TGKnIghtMemberThis is a very frustrating issue… Sometimes I leave queries sitting in the application to come back to later just to find that the window no longer exists!
How can I possibly the only person that is experiencing this? Is the open source version having this problem as well?
