In the past we had one user with the same issue and it was related to Webroot SecureAnywhere AV. Do you have this AV installed?

We are unable to reproduce this. Could you please tell crashing means the application freezes or prompts a message that it is crashed? If it prompts a message can you please provide us the crash dumps which will be helpful for us. As regards “crash dumps” look in the folder

C:Users{user}AppDataRoamingSQLyog

for files named like “SQLyog_Dump_xyz.dmp” (xyz is a number). Only files larger than 0 bytes are interesting and if there are more please try to identify the correct one(s) from the time it was saved. Please attach those crash dumps here.

Please tell us:

1) The MySQL server version(SELECT VERSION())

2) Is it 32 or 64 bit version of SQLyog?

Also Could you please try with the latest Version 11.21 and check if the issue is reproducible this would help us to debug this?

You can do this with Import External Data. There is an Advanced option in import external data wizard. Select the option Update with source details. Please find the screen shot attached.

It works fine in windows. It is an issue when you run SQLyog on wine it shows only 4 entries in the drop down. I have added this here: https://code.google.com/p/sqlyog/issues/detail?id=1559
