We plan to implement this feature in v4.2. As of now we dont have any release date for v4.2.

We are currently working on v4.1.

SQLyog Job Agent (SJA), the database sync engine used by SQLyog is a command line tool.

The windows version of SJA wont run on Linux. You can use the Windows version to sync any two databases. It can use HTTP/SSH tunneling if direct connection to the MySQL server is not provided.

If your MySQL and SSH server is installed on a Linux box and you can access it from a remote machine then you can very well access it using SQLyog Enterprise.

You just need to provide the right credentials in the connection window.

You basically need to provide the IP address of the machine in which MySQL is running.

As of now, SQLyog does not support connections through named-pipes.

Using SQLyog's Database Sync Wizard, you can easily create the XML files for SJA.

BTW, SJA for Linux does not support ssh tunneling.

    Thanks for your suggestions.

I have forwarded the issue to my development team. We may incorporate it in SQLyog v4.1.

    Thanks for your concern.

Tsunami effected south-eastern coastal areas of India. We are located in Bangalore which is situated in south-central part of India away from the coast. We are doing great and working toward SQLyog 4.1.

In my website i have a rating system, where one user gives points to others and at the end of the day i need to calculate the total points given to the user .

So i would like to know if SQL Yog helps my requirement.

You can do this using SQLyog Notification Services. You can find the option at Tools -> Power Tools -> SQLyog Notification Services.

I also need to send mail to selected users when ever a NEW user registers with the site……

A scripting language like PHP is better equiped to perform the above job.
