Work on the Unix/Mac version of SQLyog is going along fine. It will take some time before we can release the second public BETA.

Before the release of a full featured cross platform version of SQLyog, we plan to release a cross platform Query Builder and Database Designer.

The second public BETA release of SQLyog Max (our cross platform version) will take around 6 months.

We plan to fix all character-set related issues in v4.1.

While generating the dump, uncheck Generate bulk insert stmts. in the option dialog. This will result in individual INSERT INTO… query being generated for each row of data.

Currently, SQLyog opens up a different MDI window for each connection.

SQLyog Max will support all the connection details being shown in one Window.
