SQLyog takes the default DB from combo-dropdown window in the toolbar.

Your suggestion looks interesting. Maybe we will implement it in v4.2.

We will be releasing the TO-DO list of v4.2 after we release v4.1.

Are you using direct connection or SSH/HTTP Tunneling?

This feature is in the TO-DO list of v4.2 and work on it has already started 😀

There is some rudimentary support for bookmarking queries through Edit -> Add SQL To Personal Folder. We plan to improve upon it in one of the future versions of SQLyog.

Quick selects, say a result set comes up, have a field above each one where you could put in a value for that column, hit enter and it performs a SELECT matching against that field.

Its already in the TO-DO list of v4.2.

I am not sure if I understood your problem. Can you explain a little more about what you want to achieve with MySQL and SQLyog?

Maybe a good place to start would be: MySQL ABs website.

Just ask them where the data file is stored and how can we take backups of it. Once we have the data file, making an ODBC connection to it wont be a problem.

OK then – probably you know better!

But I really doubt whether this Database underlying your accounting application is not some “branded” standard software.  Who would write a complete DB-engine for just one application ??

I believe Ritesh will need the information of your software (where you got it from etc.).

The supplier and producer of this software should be as interested as Ritesh to have any connectivity issues fixed!

I would really be interested in knowing the software and the underlying DB. There must be a way to take backup of the data.

This problem seems to be same as this one: http://www.webyog.com/forums/index.php?act…t=ST&f=5&t=1544

I wanted a backup of your original database so that we could reproduce the same environment at our end. Is it possible to send the data file with the ODBC driver?

Thanks. I have recieved the mail.

The dump seems to be from a MySQL database. Are you trying to import data from MySQL to MySQL using ODBC Import Tool?

Upgrading to 4.07 is the answer.
