SQLyog takes the default DB from combo-dropdown window in the toolbar.
Your suggestion looks interesting. Maybe we will implement it in v4.2.
RiteshMemberWe will be releasing the TO-DO list of v4.2 after we release v4.1.
Quote:Any response on that 'no database selected' issue I run into? Are you using direct connection or SSH/HTTP Tunneling?
RiteshMemberQuote:#1) Tabbed SQL Windows with corresponding resultsetsThis feature is in the TO-DO list of v4.2 and work on it has already started 😀
Quote:#2) Saved queries (bookmarks/favorites)There is some rudimentary support for bookmarking queries through Edit -> Add SQL To Personal Folder. We plan to improve upon it in one of the future versions of SQLyog.

RiteshMemberI am not sure if I understood your problem. Can you explain a little more about what you want to achieve with MySQL and SQLyog?
Maybe a good place to start would be: MySQL ABs website.
RiteshMemberThis one too. 😮
Can you tell me your MySQL and Windows versions?
RiteshMemberVery strange. It works for me.
RiteshMemberYup I have received it. I will work on it as soon as possible.
RiteshMemberJust ask them where the data file is stored and how can we take backups of it. Once we have the data file, making an ODBC connection to it wont be a problem.
RiteshMemberBTW, which OS are you using?

But I really doubt whether this Database underlying your accounting application is not some “branded” standard software. Â Who would write a complete DB-engine for just one application ??
I believe Ritesh will need the information of your software (where you got it from etc.). Â
The supplier and producer of this software should be as interested as Ritesh to have any connectivity issues fixed!
I would really be interested in knowing the software and the underlying DB. There must be a way to take backup of the data.
RiteshMemberThis problem seems to be same as this one: http://www.webyog.com/forums/index.php?act…t=ST&f=5&t=1544
RiteshMemberQuote:I use an accounting software which uses his own database system but they sell an ODBC driver for it. Once installed, I “mounted” the db as a System DSN fromI wanted a backup of your original database so that we could reproduce the same environment at our end. Is it possible to send the data file with the ODBC driver?
RiteshMemberThanks. I have recieved the mail.
The dump seems to be from a MySQL database. Are you trying to import data from MySQL to MySQL using ODBC Import Tool?
RiteshMemberUpgrading to 4.07 is the answer.
