I copied a table (structure and data) and both exist in the same database and of course they have different names. Can SQLyog compare the records in the two tables to see if they are identical? If so how do I do it?

    Hi,

You can compare and sync either structure using Schema Synchronization or sync data only using Data Synchronization wizard. SQLyog doesn't compare the records in the two different tables.

I have looked at the database synchronization wizard but it seems you need to have two different databases to use it. If there is no other way maybe I could create a new database and copy one of the tables into the new database.

For more help regarding Data sync read Help document.

    Also please read this document:

    Hi,

In versions up to 6.05 the file was in installation folder – after that in users 'AppData' folder (exact path depends on Windows version).

When upgrading from 6.05 or earlier to a recent version the file is copied and a backup is left in installation folder with a .bak extension.

    Windows 2000/XP/2003:

    Documents and Settings{user}Application DataSQLyog

    Windows Vista:

    users{user}AppDataRoamingSQLyog

(some folders may have a localized name on non-English Windows)

Start searching for instances of sqlyog.ini and sqlyog.ini.bak files on your system.

I am sorry for this. We had a few similar reports before but we believe that this is an issue with Windows and not with SQLyog.

    Regards,

    Navya
