    It would be nice when selected a sort order in table view (by clicking on the field headers), then switching to another table and switching back to first table, the sort order would consist. Right now you have to do the sorting again.

    Hi,

    We will discuss regarding 'sorting'. Thank you.

    Prior to version 8.0, table data would adjust column length based on the longest value. This is no longer the case. By default some data cells are shorter than they should be, which cuts off data.

    Hi,

    In recent version 8.0, we did new implementation in Table data. In Table data, if we resize the column width it takes the new resized column width and retains the same even after refresh or if sorting is done. But in older version even after resizing when we refresh it used to take default column width.

    So, Can you please confirm whether the column width is displaying correctly as soon as we select Table and view table data?

    And also, can you help us to know whether you resize the column width manually or not?

    Regards,

    Navya

    But how can we explain 10 secs 'transfer' wiht a SELECT INTO OUTFILE statement? I do not understand this! But this is another issue than what Chrsto reports of course!

    Issue Confirmed in 7.15 about Transfer Time with a “SELECT … INTO OUTFILE” and added in issue list.

    Yes, its the same server used in the above testcase. In Windows XP, MySQL server is local in Windows XP and in Vista 64 bit its remote server. The server used is 5.1.23v.

    Hi Christo,

    We tried to reproduce issue by exporting large file say 200,000 rows. Its working fine for us. Below is the testcase,

    Server: 5.1.23 server

    Direct Connection

    A.Windows XP

    * 7.5 Beta1 ENT,

    1. 200,000 rows into outfile,

    Execution Time : 00:00:06:578

    Transfer Time : 00:00:00:000

    Total Time : 00:00:06:578

    2. CSV Export,

    ~ 53 mins to export 200,000 rows.

    * 7.15 ENT

    1. 200,000 rows into outfile,

    Execution Time : 00:00:00:094

    Transfer Time : 00:00:10:109

    Total Time : 00:00:10:203

    2. CSV Export,

    ~ 74 mins to export 200,000 rows.

    B.Vista 64 bit

    * 7.5 Beta1 ENT

    1. 200,000 rows into outfile,

    Execution Time : 00:00:07:051

    Transfer Time : 00:00:00:000

    Total Time : 00:00:07:051

    2. CSV Export,

    ~ 34 mins to export 200,000 rows.

    * 7.15 ENT

    1. 200,000 rows into outfile,

    Execution Time : 00:00:06:989

    Transfer Time : 00:00:00:000

    Total Time : 00:00:06:989

    2. CSV Export,

    ~ 29 mins to export 200,000 rows.

    Hi Karim,

    I looked up the Wikipedia ERM definition (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Entity-relationship_model)

    “An entity-relationship model (ERM) is an abstract conceptual representation of structured data; entity-relationship modeling is the process of generating these models. The end-product of the modeling process is an entity-relationship diagram (ERD) or ER diagram, a type of conceptual data model or semantic data model.”

    Well it is true that for SQLyog the end-product is not an entity-relationship diagram (ERD)… , a type of conceptual data model or semantic data model. For SQLyog the end-product is a functional database (or subset of such). However still the SQLyog SchemaXML file has the information required to create the database (that can be exported as SQL after creation).

    And also regarding SQLyog with Version Control we have already have the request in our list but the priority is not yet fixed,
