I made a research in MySQL Administrator tool (MySQL server 5.0.66a enterprise). It has one more table “mysql.user_info” apart from “mysql.user” table where it stores information about the user, contact info. etc.

Just bumping this thread to ask if crash recovery is now on the roadmap? It would be extremely useful – it's very annoying to lose a long query you've written if you have to kill SQLyog.

    Hi,

Thank you. We already have this request. We haven't set priority.

    Hi,

Can you please brief out the exact testcase to reproduce at our end?

    1. Please tell which SQLyog version you are using.

    2. And also the HTTP/Direct/SSH connection you are using.

    3. MySQL version also.

Please attach the crash dump here so that it will be very helpful for us to get in better with the issue.

You can find the crash dump in,

    Windows 2000/XP/2003:

    documents and settings{user}application datasqlyog

    Windows Vista:

    users{user}AppDataroamingSQLyog

(some folders may have a localised name on non-English Windows)

    Hi,

Sorry for the mistake … you can see the below attachments where we documented in 8.03version about the keyboard shortcut in help,

    “Ctrl+L —> Switch Result Window/Table Data Between Grid/Text Mode” in “keyboard.JPG”

And also you can see the shortcut in Edit Menu in “editmenu.JPG” and also in Help document in “helpdoc.JPG”.

    Hi,

    Quote:
I am running Windows 7…just installed those 7.15…did not work…then 8.02… that too did not work! I did troubleshoot the problem to make the app run like it is running on vista or xp..did not work either!

also reported the problem as a “feedback” to MicroS.

We tried with Windows 7, Intel® Pentium® 4 CPU 3.00GHz, RAM 512 MB 32 bit OS installing 6.56, 7.15, 8.02 versions. It is installing successfully.

So, can you please tell us with the following details which help us to reproduce at our end –

    1. What is the configuration in Win 7 version?

    2. Whether the install process failed or not? or Connection failed?

    3. Can you brief out about error you got?

    4. And also only SQLyog affected this or not?

    5. In the subject you have mentioned “CRASH”. So, can you please attach the crash dump?

    Thank You.

You cannot expect from users to keep in mind all programs where keep the settings files like favorites or sites in your case. Must have a import/export for favorites and for servers (sites).

Feature request is added in our list,

    http://code.google.com/p/sqlyog/issues/detail?id=1013

    Priority is not yet set.

    Hi,

When we install SQLyog, Favorites folder is stored in Application data folder. So, we can take backup of the Favorites folder.

You can simply copy the Favorites folder from old to the new (all program settings and connection details are in this file).

The file location depends on the Windows versions,

    2K-XP-2003: documents and settingsuserapplication datasqlyog

    Vista/2008: usersuserAppdataroamingsqlyog

(but folders may have localized names)

Regarding Export and Import of Favorites we will discuss. Thank You.
