It's a GUI, therefore I should be able to visually inspect the record and do what I want. IMHO.
leegoldMemberI have exactly the same error message.
I am using 4.0.2 Enterprise in the 30 day trial mode. When I connect with Direct connection using MySQL C API it works fine.
When I try to use the SSH tunnel I get error 2013.
My initial question is: from that 2013 error can I tell if it's a wrong setting in the SSH on the mysqljog client or is it something on the server?
I can use Putty to connect and it works fine. I bet I need to setup SSH opn mysqlyog correctly…?
Thanks
leegoldMemberNo, still does not show correct DB specific user permissions!
The download you have a link to is missing the exe extension btw.
leegoldMemberI am expericing what i think must be buggy behavior in the user grant display with 4.0.1 lite. DB specific user permissions are not being displayed correctly. While on the CMD line and PHPMYAdmin there is agreement…SQLyog is not showing the correct grants.
leegoldMemberYes I understand about the root case. But there are other cases where users have DB specific grants and they are not being shown. On the cmd line or phpmyadmin they are being displayed. So I think there is bug.
leegoldMemberThanks for the explanation.
leegoldMemberI think I should have read the FAQ:
“…… execute the query using F8. A Grid will come up with the result which you can update. This allows you to edit a Resultset having a complex WHERE clause or JOINS. SQLyog will generate the corresponding Insert/Update script to commit the changes.”
So basically I do an F8 from the SQL query pane and I get a record dispaly I can edit per each field – this the idea?
Again I think this is what many people use front-ends for and it should be more obvious IMHO…I really like SQLyog though!
