    thanks! i love SQLyog and don't want to switch back to EMS SQL Manager (for which we have a license already) because of this.

    i'm using the Community edition, but i just installed the Enterprise trial version and changed the option as advised, but the issue is still present. we're thinking about getting 1-2 enterprise licenses for the Schema Designer and other features, but this issue is keeping us from using SQLyog right now, since every action takes such a long time

    If you are using the ENTERPRISE version: In tools .. preferences (powertools tab) there is an option to define the storage location for the auto-complete ('tags') files. If not defined they will likely be stored in the 'roaming profile' on the domain server.

    Please try specifying a local folder for those files!

    yes, tables with mediumblob and longblob fields are what i meant. thanks for the reply!
