Never mind I have found that one can do this by changing one backs up the tables.

If fields do not populate when importing it is likely becuase you did not specify the escapes etc. as it is used in your file. There is not a single CSV format – the term 'CSV format' covers dozens or hundreds of slightly different formats. Best of all you should attach a small example file to the ticket and also provide the CREATE statement for the table you import to (and most important notice the difference with English and most non-English Excel versions as regards the use of COMMA or SEMICOLON as field delimiter – the FAQ describes)
Was not trying to discuss Refunds, sorry about that. I just lost 1 million records from the problem reported. I did make a backup so thats not a problem. But when one has everything set up correctly and then it does not do what the documentation says exactly then it can be irritating. Why would it null all the other columns when I never had them in the csv file to begin with? I have about 50 columns and wanted to update only 5.
