Hi, I love SQLYog, been using it for years now… but I can't seem to find an easy XML import feature. There is another 3rd-party mysql GUI that has an XML import wizard, but I hate to buy it simply for that feature when SQLYog blows it out of the water in everything else. Am I just missing something here, or is there not an XML import option? If so, how do I get enough support to get one added?

we do not support XML import yet.

there also is not a single XML format for data – But we should be able to import at least what we ourselves have exported! This is recorded in our TODO.

BTW: moving this post to SQLyog category!

I have Enterprise 6.14. I have a requirement to import some Basecamp data, which I understand to be XML, but I don't see XML import or the ability to open an XML file as a datasource in my version. Is it still on the ToDo List?

Is there another GUI tool for this? If I get it into MySQL, then I can pump it anywhere with the Yog.

      Thanks,

      Ken

You did not overlook anything. We do not have this option yet.

There is not a single 'XML format'. XML is a formal standard on how to use tags only – there are several ways to store data in XML. Anyway I agree that at least we should be able to import the .xml format that we export ourselves. I think this was a repetition of a previous reply …

Are you aware of any approved or 'de facto' standard of XML data storage that we should support?

I do not know 'Basecamp data' .. details .. link?
