      I know this is a stupid question .. I've setup MySQL on my PC, when I connect to localhost and create a new database how do I set a username and passowrd for each individual database ?

      Create a new user using Tools->User Manager->Add User . Keep all the privileges unchecked as of now.

      Using Tools->User Manager->Manage Permissions provide all privileges to the specified database.
