Unique Key for Redundant Servers

      We have been forced to have multi-SQL servers but found that our Unique Keys are in conflict. Server “A” assigns the same number as in Server “B” creating 2 records with the same number when we want to sync. I know someone has found a neat way of creating a Key that would be unique no matter what server. Looked into using UNIX_TIMESTAMP but our servers are in different time zones still could product the same key.

      You could use a GUID generator to create unique keys. A google search of “guid generator” will turn out dozens of such components.
