Getting error msg: “Error No. 1 Error in Tunneling” when trying to connect to remote host using v5.23. This is a new install on this computer and after uploading SQLyogTunnel.PHP to use the HTTP tunneling facility I got above msg . I have successfully connected to the same host from another computer with an older version of SQLyog installed with identical connection information. Using SQLyog enterprise version in both computers.

In trying to find the root of the problem I changed the password to an incorrect pw and get the same error message. Further testing has shown that SQLyog gets this error trying to logon to the remote host. Whether I use the correct or incorrect user id, gives the same message. Changing the URL to an incorrect specification gives different error message indicating host cannot be found, so obviously, SQLyog is finding the remote host.

Remote host is a USA based Commercial ISP running Unix FreeBSD, mysql ver 4.0. User id and password contain no special characters. The remote host has PHP ver 4.4 installed.

Began by using the Default CharSet in SQLyog, but changing to any other makes no difference.

      Anyone have any ideas?

      Thanks,

      Roger

The problem was related to my redirect statements and the placement of the Tunneling file. Peter was able to quickly diagnose the problem and provide a solution.

This company provides excellent support, very much recommended.
