Hello,
I scheduled a backup but when the backup process starts I get the error:
Access denied; you need the RELOAD privilege for this operation
What exactly does the backup process user need the RELOAD privilege for? I'm using Site5 for a web host and I have granted all privileges to my db user although the “RELOAD” privilege is not a listed privilege through my control panel. I've tried contacting Site 5 to see if they can grant my db user the RELOAD privilege but I have a feeling they are going to say no.
Any ideas how I can make this work? Thanks,
Tommy

I just heard back from Site 5 and they aren't going to allow me to have the RELOAD privilege. So back to the question – is there a way to be able to run the backup scheduler successfully without having the RELOAD privilege?
By the way I'm using SQLYog Enterprise v5.18.
Thanks in advance,
Tommy

You need RELOAD privileges for 'flush' operations.
Hust uncheck the 'flush' options.
Did that help.
BTW: you should upgrade SQLyog

That seemed to work – thanks! Is the upgrade from v5.18 worth it? What will I gain?
