This problem seems to be the same as in this forum but it seems it was never resolved. I'm using SQLyog ver. 5.17 (the trial ver.).
Just like in the forum above I can copy a table (both data/structure or just structure) into the same DB. However, if I try copying either the data/structure or just the structure to another DB on the same host SQLyog will freeze.
I posted this as part of another topic I created for another problem, but thought it would be better to start a new topic.
Any help is appreciated.

Now this is a VERY OLD Forums post.
With SQLyog 5.17 (and everyone I ever tried) I can copy a table to another DB on the same host.
Also with MySQL 3.23.58 and SSH tunnel.
Could there be some configuration issue with SSH or MySQL that prevents working actively on two databases on the same time?
Also: can you use the DATA SYNC 'powertool' ?

I just tried the Data Synch in Powertools and that successfully worked. I guess that would be a workaround, but it would still be nice if I purchase this product to be able to use the other options. I'll wait to hear if you find anything. Thanks for your help.

Just checking back to see if you were able to find anything about this freezing problem. Thanks.

I have bookmarked this page and did not forget you!
Now as beta2 was out today, we should be able to give this one more attention!

It would help if you informed about the MySQL version and attached a structure-only dump!
