Hi,
I already noticed this in several earlier versions but didn´t bother to file a bug report. Now I do =)
Win XP SP3, SQLyog community 8.6 RC2
– start SQLyog
– cancel connect dialog
– maximize window
– close window
– start sqlyog
– cancel connect dialog
result:
window is not maximized (border can be seen), but the middle button (from the three in the top-right corner) looks as if it was
– click on that icon
result: button changes to “maximize”, but window doesn´t change size
– click on that icon again
result: window finally maximizes
workaround: edit link to SQLyog and tell Windows to start it maximized
Cheers
Lars

Hello Larsen,
We are not able to replicate this bug at our end with your instructions.
In order to continue investigating this, we request you to provide the following:
1. Could you please give us all the details(if there are any missing) to replicate.
Quote:window is not maximized (border can be seen), but the middle button (from the three in the top-right corner) looks as if it was– click on that icon
result: button changes to “maximize”, but window doesn´t change size.
2. Please attach a screen shot for us to see this.
Thanks!

It could also be (video) hardware/driver specific. Do you have an option to check this on more systems?

I made a video – lousy quality, but I think you will see what happens.
Tested with other PCs, all Win XP SP3 German. Versions 8.32 and 8.15 beta 1 show the same behaviour.

Thank you for the video. Although I could see the behavior in your video, I was not able to replicate this at my end.
Will check again tomorrow with SQLyog. Also, will take a look at how the other applications behave.
Did you happen to check the behavior with any other application/s? Please do check and let us know.

Perhaps it´s a problem only with a German XP?
Other applications here work fine.
