Hi All –
Just wrapping up our testing of SQLyog and MONyog. Fine programs both!
However, I still need to test the query analyzer in MONyog.
We are particularly interested in analyzing the Slow Query Log. However, have read somewhere (maybe the
monyog doc?) that MySQL does not enable this by default! Wherever we read it, there were some instructions for
a command line option to stop/start the mysqld server with some command line options, but obviously this is problematic
with a running production database that is already started and running as a Windows Service.
So, we were wondering if:
1. It is possible to turn on this log in an already runnig database through SQLyog?
2. Must we (or will SQLyog) stop the MySQL server to do so?
Here's what we are running:
Windows 2003
MySQL 4.1.x (x==22 I think). Community version.
SQLyog Enterprise Trial v8.14
MONyog Trial 3.15
Thanks and best,
Priscilla
