I Just installed the new version (4.07) and found out that when i'm in the program the cursor slows down. I mean that if i need to go to the table tree, i have to move the mouse for almost 10cm!!! Whats happening? Should i reinstall the previous version?
Thanks.

This is very strange.
Which OS & mouse driver are you using? Did you load up any images in the BLOB viewer?

The most simple trick you could try is to remove your mouse device from system from windows' “device manger”.
Then restart windows, and it will find the mouse and reinstall drivers.
Some of the “smartest” mouse systems such as some Logitech wireless systems can be rather tricky and conflicting. But SQLyog does nothing special in relation to mouse control!

i'm using windows xp pro sp2 and a logitech cordless wheel mouse. Not doing anything. just moving arounf the cursor.

Logitech 🙁 im my humble opinion! Lots of conflicts. But all mouse control in SQLyog are from standard Microsoft VC++ library.
I always by a cheap mouse at a supermarket. They work! 😆
1) Did yoy try this trick with removing mouse device from divice manager. I have experienced before that the installation order coul fix issues with Logitech mouse (and keyboard as well!).
2) Alternatively did you check if there is a newer driver available ?

ok… so i disinstalled the driver, the computer asked me to reboot. i then installed the last loghitech mouseware driver. but still the same problem.
i found out that if the sqlyog window is active, the mouse slows down, but if i activate another window, even keeping sqlyog window open, the mouse returns to normal speed.

then you'd better wait for Ritesh to have a look on it, but don't forget to answer this:
Quote:Which OS are you using? And also: which was the previous version that did not do this?
Do you have the chance to try another more simple mouse?
You could try the SQLyog 4.1 beta (you can have both installed at a time – just choose another installation directory).
You get it from here: http://www.webyog.com/forums/index.php?act…t=0entry6399
Look for the next Beta – I might very well be out tonight.
4.1 is as solid as 4.07 and adds Scheduled ODBC import (and a much faster ODBC import in general). They only need to solve some very special non-standard ODBC-issues with Microsoft databases in particular to finish it completely.

ok… got it working….. just uninstalled the logitech mouseware driver and let the windows choose one for me (microsoft Comp. ps2). But now i don0t have the wheel working in some of my ms app like vb6! hmm
no other solution? why did the previuos version (4.06) work?

I really don't know! With some luck 4.1 will work for you!
But Ritesh must be able to tell whether some updates of their MS-development environment have taken place between 4.06 and 4.07.

The only change between 4.06 and 4.07 is the usage of a different library to display images in the BLOB viewer.

Folks, I have just installed 4.07 and am now experiencing the same mouse problems. When SQLyog is the foreground app, my cursor is painfully slow. When it's not, I have normal mouse speed. Everything was just fine in the previous version I was using, 4.05. I see others are having the same problem, but I don't yet see a workaround to my liking. I do NOT want to change mouse drivers. I like what I'm using. This is very upsetting. What should I do?
Windows XP Pro, SP 2
HID-compliant Cordless Mouse driver, Logitech
Should I download and install 4.1 BETA 8 to see if it fixes this?

Yes as v4.1 BETA fixes this problem.

You are correct, sir. The 4.1 BETA did indeed fix the problem. Thank you very much!
