MemberHello,
I downloaded SJA to be used on Ubuntu Linux. I created the following xml file and tried as follows:
Code:./sja xyz.xmlCode:
xyz.com
xyz mypass 3306 mydb
localhost
xyz xyz 3306 mysb
What is wrong with the above as every time I run the script I get
Code:SQLyog Job Agent Version 6.06
Copyright(c)Webyog Softworks Pvt. Ltd.. All Rights Reserved.Sync started at Wed Sep 5 14:33:32 2007
I don't think that the database are synced. I knew this because I entered a wrong database password and it still said the above

Participantis it a 32 bit or 64 bit Ubuntu?
Obviously the executable starts, but it does not find a single table (it would print everyone it finds). Also it will log when job has ended if it ends normally – and it did not!
Can you see if the sja process gets terminated or is still running after a while and what status it has? (I don't know what tools Ubuntu has for this, but some process viewer must be there!)

MemberIt is a 32bit Linux.
I am not sure how to find if the process is still running or not. I will try to figure it out.

ParticipantInspiration from here:
http://www.google.com/search?client=opera&…-8&oe=utf-8
Is the program 'ksysguard' installed? Is is the standard KDE system monitoring tool, but nowadays GNOME supports several KDE applications and vice versa! (note that UPPERCASES may be used for some letters!)

MemberNo ksysguard is not installed.
Ref to your question about sja is running in the background as a process, I figured out how to check that and no sja is not running.

Participantok .. SJA is crashing or the system 'knocks it down' for some reason.
I think we should first check with Ubuntu! What Ubuntu version do we have here?

ParticipantWe have 2 different Ubuntu's installed. A 7.04 64 bit (with 32 bit libraries installed too) and an older (6.x I think) 32 bit.
No problem the latter. We will try the other one as well , but it mostly looks like some issue specific to your system.
Ideas are welcome!

ParticipantIssue confirmed with our Ubuntu 7.04 (64 bit with 32 bit libraries).
However not yet sure if it is the same issue as you report.
We will need a little time to analyze this! I hope we can get in 'pushed in' tomorrow or Wednesday.
