      Greetings. I am trying to further automate our DB synchronization (which is working flawlessly with a fix provided by Ritesh).

      I want to set it up to email the results and any errors generated in the syncing process. There is an example schema for doing this, but it appears that it is a different 'job' and hense will not report on the current sync (unless I am missing something).

      Can someone explain how to integrate the sync with a notify?

      As of now you cannot send results of sync over email.

      This is a good suggestion though and I have forwarded it to my development team.

      Humm… I hope it makes the cut!

      In the mean time, What is the thinking behind the 'notify' schema? is it a method of getting the DB status?

      Yes and no. You may use notification services to reguraly get status reports via e-mail, but that's not all! You may schedule virually any queries and have NS deliver the results to you.
