First of all many thanks for the remarkable program. I before worked with MySQL-Front, but having met with SQLyog at once have passed on it.

Question such: I connected to MySQL base through HTTP Tunneling. HTTP Tunneling work well, it is possible to work normally with tables, etc. But at attempt to use ” Scheduled Backups ” or ” SQLyog Notification Services ” connection through HTTP Tunneling does not occur. It is given out: ” Error No. 1 HTTP Error. Could not connect to the tunneling URL “.

And it at same adjustments HTTP Tunneling with which I successfully work with databases on the removed servers.

If in Scheduled Backups to specify a local database problems do not arise.

Prompt, please, what can be an exit in such situation?

      Thanks.

      p.s. SQLyog Enterprise v4.06

      (Excuse for my bad English)

It could very well be a time-out problem. I think Ritesh has promised that a user setting for the time-out interval or some other workaround will be added soon.

Do you experience trom time to time that connection establishes slowly with HTTP-tunnelling ? Basically I think it's a problem with some (mostly the very cheap) hosting providers, that database access has very low priority on their network.

      Many thanks for the answer.

This problem arises not from time to time, and all time.

I shall try to do this operation on others hosting providers.

About results I shall inform 🙂

No, it is impossible. This mistake does not depend from hosting providers.

Such impression, that the program at all does not fall outside the limits proxy server through which I work.

But, I shall remind, that this mistake appears only at ” Scheduled Backups ” or ” SQLyog Notification Services “.

Hey – you could have said before that there was a proxy involved!

Probably Ritesh will answer here when he gets an opportunity. Probably he'll ask you for further details.

From “Notification Services” dialogue you can send a test-mail to check the SMTP-function. Does that work?

And do you get a mail with an error message or not ?

Excuse, I probably not understandably write in English.

I work through a proxy server. The proxy works normally. I can freely come on the database and make there everything, that is possible.

The mistake about which there is a speech, appears at attempt “Scheduled Backups” or “SQLyog Notification Services”. She jumps out at once, i.e. I cannot pass further a window “Provide details about your MySQL server”.

I hope, that this time I have more understandably stated essence of a question… 🙂

      I understand very well …

but I don't have access to the code og the program (and would not understand it anyway!). Ritesh hasn't been at the forum today, so he must be busy with something else. But I'm sure he will get himself involved ASAP 😉

Perhaps you could check the contents of generated XML file. SQLyog may write incorrect URL into that file.

You mean sja-sample.xml (.xml files from SQLyog I have not found others)? But there the data which are simply substituted by default are stored.

But even if it not absolutely so at use, for example “Scheduled Backups”, the data for connection are substituted from a working account. I.e. an account through which I can it is normal will incorporate to base for change of its tables and other data.

Probably the reason here all the same in the conflict of the program and adjustments of a proxy through which I work. Though a proxy idle time – http and it is usual with it of problems does not arise.

Guards that fact, that this problem only at me. At least at this forum I similar have not found anything (can be bad searched).

No, I did not mean sja-sample.xml! Sja uses XML files to store sync or notification jobs. Find the corresponding XML file (if the wizard had gone that far…) of you sync!

Under HTTP Tunneling in the Tunnel tab, there is a button called Advanced. Clicking on it will open up a window where you can specify the Proxy settings.

Are you sure the details provided are correct in it?

I searched established XML files which could be generated by the program on all hard disk, but except for sja-sample*.xml have found nothing.

Still is sqlyog.ini, but first there it's OK, and second, on how much I understand, it not a file of a configuration.

Probably I am not too attentive, but not on so much to not notice this button 🙂

By the way – the interface of the program is made very conveniently.

Put still that in a described case the program does not leave at all in a network. It is visible on indication of network activity. The message on a mistake jumps out right after pressing “Continue”, i.e. instantly.

To tell the truth, I already with it have reconciled. In the ends – ends if this mistake appears only at me while other users of it do not have, probably problem too at me, instead of in “SQLyog Enterprise”.

Though variants, certainly, are possible… 🙂

p.s. For the information: at me Windows XP SP2.

In this version Windows – paranoid system of safety which forbids start of programs by foreign scripts or components. There can be a reason also in it.

That's why you didn't find any XML files, the wizard had not finished…

If you have firewall software running, that may prevent sja.exe from connecting to Internet. Did you check this possibility as well?

Yes, I then disconnected the “Outpost Firewall” though has specially adjusted him for correct job with “SQLyog Enterprise”. After that the mistake has not disappeared.

It can be necessary firewall to reload a computer after disconnect. When the free time will appear and I shall make. If it will change a situation in the best side – I shall necessarily inform.

Well, theoretically thre's no need to reboot a computer to changes made to a firewall take effect. If it is possible, try to disable Outpost entirelly, then see if SQLyog connects. In case it does not, then it is not the firewall that interferes with SQLyog.
