      This may be a dumb question as Percona is built off MySQL. But does anyone know if SQLyog is fully functional with Percona? Any issues? Does XtraDB work?

      Just curious, i'm thinking about switching to the Percona server.

      It will work out of the box with SQLyog 

      ExtraDB simply replaces InnoDB and even identifies itself as 'InnoDB' (when executing SHOW ENGINES for instance).  So no problem with migration of data or Foreign Keys either.

      If you should come around some 'showstopper' issues with a major 'fork' like Percona Server, MariaDB or whatever they will be fixed with priority.
