      Very strange.

Is your old copy of SQLyog working OK?

Yes. I re-installed 4.06 over 4.07 and it works fine.

No problem here on XP SP2 (Danish)

      I believe it is a 2K – issue. The various ServicePack-levels with win-2K is a mess!

What is your SP-level and localization ?

      An “ordinary” 2K or 2K-server ?

Did you try the 4.07 BETA and RC-releases ?

I have another pc (MySql database pc) with xp prof and sp2. I just installed this new 4.07, works fine. It is related to w2k then.

I have no chance to go deeper into this (don't have a 2K).

And probably they have left office in Bangalore now ( they have to feed the tigers! 😀 ).

But undoubtedly they will look into it tomorrow (saturday is working day for them!)

We have tested it on Win2K and Win98 without any problem. I will ask my team to look into it again.

I found problem. Please check the URL below, this is being caused when the

“pcAnywhere host service” is running on the same computer.

As I just downloaded new Earth from Google, which caused the same exact error, and I found this through google. Once I cancel the Host service of PC Anywhere. verion 4.07 runs ok.

      Thanks.

Good evening Mr. Sherlock Holmes 😎

If you need a Remote Desktop -program you could check Qnext http://www.qnext.com.

It's has never conflicted with anything on my machine (it is java-based – runs in “sandbox”).

But of course that is on WinXP …

But since 4.06 works with PC Aanywhere, they should be able to make 4.07 do it too, I think!

Well, after I updated DirectX to 9.0c, with “Pc Anywhere” host running, both programs runs fine without problem. I do not know what changed in 4.07 which was not in 4.06, but I am happy it is working.
