      When setting up a new connection, the “test connection” button checks the connection and says it's OK, but the “connect” button shows up the nag screen. When the nag screen is clicked upon, the user is sent back to the “new connection” dialog without making any connection at all. This way the user will forever be in “new connection” dialog.

      I think you are trying to establish HTTP/SSH Tunnel using the free version. Tunneling is not supported in the free version.
