      Like most people, I dial-up to an ISP and host elsewhere.

      In the connect settings, In the 'mysql/host address' field, I put the REMOTE server [www.remote.com or 255.255.255.0] that hosts my DB. When I try to connect, I get a message from my dial-up ISP [www.dialupisp.com], having the usual 1045 blurb.

      wassup??

      Error 1045 means that you dont have correct permission to connect to the MySQL server.

      Ask your MySQL Host to provide you with correct permission to connect remotely.
