      I've always read that you should migrate a MySQL 3 database first into MySQL 4, then to MySQL 5. Does using SQLYog make it safe to copy directly from a 3.23 host to a 5.0 host?

      I am sorry, but I never heard that.

      Do you know what the problem should be?

      Are you sure that this is not a problem with a specific client (maybe phpMyAdmin) ?

      How would you migrate the database? With SQLyog I do not see any problems no matter if you

      * export/import

      * copy to other …

      * use the Migration toolkit

      * or use Data Sync
