      You should integrate the progress bars your software uses with Windows 7's taskbar icons. To see what I mean, try downloading a large file in the latest version of Firefox or IE, and you'll see how the progress bar is reflected in the taskbar.

      Are you referring to 'execute SQL script', 'export', 'dublicate table' and similar that may take some time to complete (and where we already have a progress bar inside the program)?
