I often have to work on large database tables not designed by myself. I very often find im scanning and scanning for a particular column name only to miss it in large tables due to the shear number of columns.

It would be very useful if there was some kind of very quick search box in one corner of the create/alter table interface that let you just start typing in letters and the list of rows in the interface would instantly update to show only matching filtered results.

a very good example of this in action can be found in current versions of google chrome's main settings page, where a search box on the left lets you do just what im saying. Here the exact matching phrases are also highlighted in yellow. Likewise that would make the feature im talking about in sqlyog even more powerful.

      Thanks for your time

Even though details of implementation differ, I think this is something similar?

      Hi Peter

Yes in that kind of functionality but vitally, not there in the object browser but the create/modify interface.

This is handled very well in the Firefox browser.

To that end, Ive gone to the effort to make you an illustration.

      Thanks
