Hi,
I frequently have several SQLyog connections open at once and use CTRL-TAB to move between the windows.
The request is to be able to right-click the left hand pane (i.e. the one with the connection tree) and change the background colour of this pane from white to something else.
The reason for this is that it would allow me to give the background a red hue for the connection to the live server and a green hue for the local development database – providing an instant and highly visible indication of which window I'm currently working in to help prevent accidental editing of live data (which has, thankfully, only happened once!). If we could do this I also envisage a setting on the “Connect to a MySQL host” dialog to allow you to set (and save) a default background colour for the tree on a per-connection basis.
I hope that this is not too difficult to achieve and that you can see the clear benefits to users to be able to do this!
I have used SQLyog for more years than I care to count and am excited to be able to suggest an improvement at last 🙂

Hi,
We have released SQLyog 8.3 Beta1 with this feature, which is available publicly!
Added an option to define a ‘color code’ for a connection. The color will be used as background color in the Object Browser.
Please refer to:

Thank you.
