We store network configuration files in our MySQL database. When we export the config files to HTML the first letter is chopped off most of the lines. For example a config file can have logging statements and access-list statements. When they are exported they look like “ogging” and “ccess-list”. I have noticed this bug with 5.x versions and above. I just downloaded version 8.2 and the same thing happens.
Here is some of the actual data:
service nagle
o service pad
ervice timestamps debug datetime msec localtime
ervice timestamps log datetime msec localtime
ervice password-encryption
ervice compress-config
ervice unsupported-transceiver
ostname xxxxxxxxxx
oot-start-marker
oot-end-marker
ogging buffered 16384 debugging
ogging console informational
ogging monitor informational
aa new-model
aa authentication login default group tacacs+ enable
aa authentication login LINE line
aa authentication login NONE none
aa authentication enable default group tacacs+ enable
aa authorization config-commands
aa authorization exec default group tacacs+ if-authenticated
aa authorization commands 15 default group tacacs+ local if-authenticated
aa accounting exec default stop-only group tacacs+
aa accounting commands 15 default stop-only group tacacs+
