      If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it.

      I am using the community edition v6.07

      I am trying to use the “copy database to different host/db” feature. I have both connections set up correctly, to the best of my knowledge; and when it starts copying everything seems to be going ok, then I get an error message:

      Error No. 2006

      MYSQL server has gone away

      Anyone know what this means or possible causes / fixes?

      The database I am moving is about 8megs, but it's quitting pretty soon into the copy progress…

      Can you confirm that you are using SSH connection to one or both servers?

      I don't think I'm using an SSH connection, but how would I know? Should I be?

      Never mind, I downloaded Navicat. It worked the first time! 😮

      I apologize for a stupid question. With COMMUNITY you are using direct connection!

      The error is a mysql (API) client error.

      We would very much appreciate if you could give some more details so that we can fix this issue as fast as possible.

      Could you pleae

      1) tell what server versions you are using?

      2) attach a structure-only dump of that database (you can create a ticket if you want privacy)
