Error 1064 on synch procedure

I have in my log ftom synch operation tens 1064 Errors like this :

You have an error in your SQL syntax near 'ÌÌount(*) from `autor where `nome_autore_m`='Babyface/Reid, Antonio ''LA''' at line 1

Some problem is solved with delay of '' (double single quotes chars…escape it in SQL) but there are some errors in log not “easy to understand” like Query Empty and strange characters like ¼¼ not present in tables

I have to synch my data and I ask you your prevision date for any solution or hint …. or if I have to clean my data for '' character (hoping there will be the only 'strange' character …)

I have noticed that I only get the 1064 error when synchronizing with and listing a subset of tables. Does this indicate that the problem is not with the database structures or table/field contents?

Sorry the xml tag did not appear in the post.

I get no errors with tables all=”yes” and when I use tables all=”no” and specify individual tables, with where statements, I seem to get the same number of 1064 errors as should match the where statements.
