MemberHi,
When I open a large table with many columns, the horizontal scrolling can be “jerky.” Are there settings that I may have missed that would enable smooth scrolling?
(My computer is an Intel 9400 with 4MB RAM and 500GB hard drive, so that shouldn't be the problem.)
Thanks for any suggestions.

ParticipantActually scrolling has been improved over the last 1-2 years. What is the version you are using?

Hi, and thanks for the quick reply.
I'm using the most recent version: 8.53. The table in question has 613 columns. I know that is a lot of columns,
but it is from an externally-produced text file. 🙄

MemberHi,
Issue confirmed. Horizontal Scrolling is not smooth if more number of columns (~600 rows) are present in Table Data.
We have added this in our issue tracker:
http://code.google.com/p/sqlyog/issues/detail?id=1334
In order to move between successive columns you can use the “TAB” key or the left and right arrow keys or use directional arrows of the scroll bar (see the screenshot).
We will try to improve the grid scroll in our upcoming releases.
Thank You.

Khushboo

MemberWe have improved both Horizontal and Vertical scrolling in Data-Tab now. It will be included into the next public release(probably in version 9.0).
Also in the latest version (v8.71) there's new feature *Form View has been implemented. This would be more helpful in-case of processing with too many columns.
